Creative Ways to Propose

The story of your wedding proposal is one that will be told over and over. Even new acquaintances would never fail to ask about "How he proposed." That is why all over history of mankind, men have been thinking of the most romantic ways on how to propose to the women they love and wish to spend the rest of their lives with.

Creativity is the key to having a unique and memorable wedding proposal. Many have chosen to steer clear of the traditional diner by candle light and think of unconventional and surprising ways on how to get that much awaited "Yes." Through the years, many have succeeded in rendering their ladies speechless as they pop the question "Will you Marry me." In the most unexpected and sometimes most ridiculous places.

Some funny and unsuccessful proposals have also been on the news; like one guy who buried his wedding ring on the beach. He was sure that she would dig up the ring when they built a sand castle. It sounded like a good idea until the waves washed off his marker and they ended up using a metal detector to find the ring. Lucky for him, she still said "Yes."

There is also that incident when the man hid the ring in one of the bread rolls and planned to say "Please say I dough." as the girl finds the ring in her bread. Unfortunately, the girl bit off more that she should have and swallowed the ring. It took them a few hours to retrieve the ring and a few more months for her to take him back. They got married anyway.

Good planning and understanding of what your girl's likes and dislikes are very important. Money is not an issue for someone who is in love, sensitive and very creative. And of course, timing is everything!

More and more choose to avoid the predictable intimate and quiet dinner date proposal. Lately, proposals almost always require an audience. Many have done it on talk shows, live concerts, sporting events, parties and lately even in the streets with a flash mob!

If your girl is not the social kind or simply hates crowds, you may choose to do it over her favorite radio station. Just make sure that she is listening as you pop the question. You can also make her call a hotline and give her reply on the air. Of course, don't forget to ask the DJ to play your favorite song.

If your girlfriend is the kind who always questions whether you are proud of her or not, why not splurge a little and get a digital bill board to announce to everyone that you want to marry the love of your life. If you can afford it, why not hire an aircraft that will carry a banner proposing to your lovely girlfriend?

If she is the simple type, you can simply make a trail of flower petals from her doorstep, leading to the room. In there, you will be waiting, down on your knees ready to propose. Some animal lovers would also appreciate a cute puppy with a note and a ring tied to its collar. After she reads the note saying "Will you marry me?" you appear and await her reply.Just make sure the puppy doesn't eat the ring.

Any which way you choose, just don't forget the most important thing in proposing is that the woman sees your sincerity and love. Be yourself and don't over do things. The best proposals are the ones that make her smile and say "Yes, I will marry you."
