WHAT IS LOVE?

Love is a word that starts with "L" and ends with "E" and in between them are "O" and "V" This is probably the most honest answer you can give when asked the question "What is Love?"

It is very difficult to define love in words because we can only truly define the most tangible things. But Love is an extremely strong and complex emotion, and is used widely in so many ways and in different levels too. Love may mean profound kindness toward others, or affection towards someone in particular as a friend...or more. This may refer to something you really like doing. Love is also the most used and abused word in the dictionary. You may hear people say "I really love cooking!" or after getting drunk at a party you may go on saying "I love you guys!" to strangers as they leave.

Love has many different meanings. There is brotherly love, strictly Platonic love, Spiritual love and of course, the most popular kind of love... is romantic love. And because you are reading this article, I am sure you are asking yourself...

HOW DO I TELL IF I AM IN LOVE?

Here are some pointers you will have to look out for as you pursue a relationship.

• IM HAPPY IF YOU ARE HAPPY:
  A person who is truly in love is willing to sacrifice his or her own happiness for the sake of the other person. Sometimes if the other person's happiness matters to you more than yours, then you are in love. You are ready to do anything to see the smile on the face of the person you love and even if you have given up something to make this happen, you are still happy because you find joy in knowing the person is happy. Sacrifice is a big indicator that love is there.
  
  
• I MISS YOU:
  When you and your sweetheart are apart and you feel a pinch in your heart while hoping and wishing for him or her to return soon, then this longing indicates that you just may be infatuated with the person. But when you start wishing to be around that person all the time then there may be something more serious happening deep within you that you are not aware of.
  
  
• I STILL LIKE YOU:
  Nobody is perfect. When you are in a relationship, soon enough you will see each other's flaws and weaknesses. When two people are in love they are ready to accept each other in spite their shortcomings. They believe in each other and support each other too in any circumstance. You are truly in love with a person if he or she has some bad habits that really irritate you, and yet you put up with them because you'd rather suffer coping with these bad habits than to lose you the person. Yes...you just may be in love.
  
  
• I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE:
  People, who are in love, constantly think of their sweethearts. Thinking of the person happens day in and day out and when you are apart, everyone around will remind you of your sweetheart because they all seem to look like him or her. No its not witch craft that you seem to see you sweat heart everywhere. It's the magic of being in love.
  
  
• I CARE FOR YOU:
  Do you find yourself making big fuzz about things that concern your sweetheart? If you are always concerned about your partner's well being like checking on him or her when sick (even if it is just a cold) You make sure medications are taken on time. You make sure all his or her meals are healthy. You try to stop his other vices because you don't want your sweetheart may get sick..well this may be too sweet and sometimes irritating, but if your partner loves you too, then it's okay to be this head over heels in love.
  
  
• I CAN'T CONCENTRATE:
  Are you having a hard time concentrating? Do your thoughts unknowingly shift to the time you kissed or any sweet moment you shared with your sweetheart? Hmmm. I think you can figure this one out for yourself. We both know the reason why you can't concentrate. Right?
  
  
• YOU ARE MINE, ONLY MINE:
  There is that brief phase when we fall in love that we become a bit unreasonably possessive of our sweethearts. Do you find yourself sneering at the person flirting with your partner? Do you find yourself getting irritated when your partner speaks highly of another person or simply glances and compliments a passerby? Beep! Beep! Beep! There goes the love alarm!

Soon you will discover that love is the most wonderful feeling in the world. Many spend a lifetime looking for it. And along the way, many hearts are broken and many tears will fall. But in the end, that wonderful feeling called love will prove to be worth it. So if you realize now that you are in love...you are a very lucky person indeed.
